If you are looking for a slow-roasted dish that is warm, rich and a bit decadent, you cannot go past German Pork Knuckle (or Schweinshaxe). Slow roasting the pork means the meat is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and it also has the delicious crackling and is finished off with decadent beer gravy.
Mexico
You could use pork in any of your favourite Mexican dishes. For example, swap beef for pork mince in your Friday night tacos!
If you are looking to add a different Mexican dish to your meal list, Carnitas is a great dish to try. This Mexican pulled pork dish is seasoned with cumin, chili powder and oregano, and contains the juice of oranges and limes. Although usually cooked in lard, which makes it very tender, there are variations of the dish that skip the lard for you to try at home – many of them can easily be popped into the slow-cooker for easy to prepare but delicious meat to use in tacos or burritos.

Home in Australia, pork is a favourite protein and for good reason. It is so versatile! Pork cutlets make an easy mid-week meal and the traditional Sunday roast is always a crowd pleaser.
